Katie Consamus is an actor and theatremaker based in New York City. With a long work history in new play development, she has worked in the development process with New Dramatists, MCC, Dramatists Guild, Hunger & Thirst Theatre Collective, Iowa New Play Festival, New Georges, ICE Factory, Columbia University, Playwrights Realm, and Loading Dock Theatre Company. Though primarily an actor, Katie occasionally moonlights as a dramaturg and producer.
Katie also performs regionally, having appeared at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Capital Fringe in Washington, D.C., Avalon Theatre & the New Jewish in St. Louis, and Iowa Summer Rep, among others.
With a strong physical life and an effervescent sense of play, Katie also works as a Creative Movement Instructor in NYC Public Schools, helping children explore the physical and emotional limitlessness of their creativity.
